3 Activities You Can Do With Your Toddler

 

Animal Matching (Option 1)

What you need: 

Animal Flashcards, plastic animals

What you do:

Spread out all the animals and one at a time, place a flashcard on the floor or table and see if your toddler can find the matching plastic animal or help them to find it.

 

Animal Matching (Option 2)

What you need: 

card, printer

What you do:

Search google images for the animals you want and print two of each. Spread some cards out and choose one from a seperate stack and let your toddler find the matching card or help them to find it.

 

  • Each week/month you can do a different category of animals. (Farm, forest, sea, jungle etc.)

Shape Painting

What you need:

empty toilet paper roll or paper cup for circles,  building blocks or legos for squares and rectangles, water paint, paper, paper plates

What you do:

Place the different colours of paint in the paper plates (if you want to focus on one colour then you just need one plate), place the paper, blocks/legos, paper roll or paper cups on the table or floor and let your little one create and have a wonderful time.


Spray Bottle Painting

What you need:

Spray bottles, water paint, huge piece of paper or (canvas)

What you do:

This is an outdoors activity. place the paper/canvas on an easel and fill the spray bottles with paint and let your little one create their master piece.
